The Project
Floraforms is a digital homage to Gustav Klimt's masterpiece, "The Kiss." A collaboration between digital artist Harto and the renowned Belvedere Museum in Vienna, this collection bridges traditional art with blockchain technology, reimagining Klimt's aesthetic through generative art to explore new forms of artistic value and ownership.
This pioneering spirit is echoed in the Belvedere Museum's previous endeavor with Klimt's masterpiece, The Kiss. The museum made history by transforming this world-famous work into a digital form, offering 10,000 unique NFTs for sale. Each NFT represents a fraction of the high-resolution digital image, divided into a 100 x 100 grid, with each fraction certified to pinpoint the exact piece of this iconic work.
The connection between Floraforms and The Kiss lies not only in their shared inspiration but in their mutual commitment to merging art with cutting-edge technology. Both collections celebrate Klimt's legacy, each in its unique way: The Kiss by immortalizing the masterpiece as a digital mosaic, and Floraforms by reinterpreting its aesthetic through the infinite possibilities of generative art. Together, they represent a fusion of the past and future, tradition, and innovation, offering a new way to engage with and own art in the digital age.
